Director with a solid
knowledge of social work values and strong organizational
and communication skills.
Qualifications:
• Ability to give direction to--and provide supervision
of--continuing education programs, professional development, and
legislative efforts relevant to the membership and the social
work profession
• Strong budget management skills
• Minimum of three years of supervisory and/or administrative
experience
• Advanced computer literacy (website maintenance, dexterity
with using social media, etc.)
• Experience working with professional organizations and Boards
• Commitment to--and ability to effectively articulate--social
work values and issues, including social justice
• Media relations and public speaking skills
• Excellent customer service skills, including responding
promptly and professionally to inquiries from the membership,
community groups, elected officials, etc.
• Good time management skills, including ability to complete
assigned tasks within the designated time frame
• Knowledge, skills and an understanding of the legislative
process with a focus on Nevada.

area preferred, and three – five years of administrative
experience;
Starting salary
range is $50-55k plus benefits;

Training Coordinator Sought
The Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence (MCADV), a
statewide 501 (c ) (3) nonprofit organization, has an
immediate opening for the contractual consulting position of
Training Coordinator. The Training Coordinator is
primarily responsible for implementation of local and statewide
training activities related to domestic violence issues. Prefer
an LMSW or LSW with a strong background in training.
Experience in the domestic violence field is a plus. The
Training Coordinator reports directly to the MCADV Executive
Director.
Job Description:
This is an initial six month contractual consulting position,
scheduled to begin by March 1, 2012 with the possibility
for renewal of contract at the end of the six month period.
Tasks
involve, but are not limited to:

identifying
training needs for member shelter programs, direct service
providers, and other organizations—including law enforcement
and community-based groups
-
developing and
assisting in the implementation of a statewide training plan
addressing domestic violence issues
-
evaluating the
implementation and impact of trainings
-
making
recommendations for future trainings
-
designing
training curricula
-
coordinating
logistics of trainings, including obtaining of
trainers/facilitators
-
conducting
trainings on the local and state levels
-
development of
an agency training calendar/schedule
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of a
bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. social work,
education, speech/communication, psychology/counseling)
required. Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Social
Worker with strong training skills preferred.

Minimum of 3
years experience in the domestic violence field a plus
and/or demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence issues.
-
Excellent oral
and written communication skills.
-
Experience in
designing, organizing, and facilitating trainings, seminars,
and conferences.
-
Demonstrated
project coordination and management skills.
-
Computer
proficiency, specifically Word, Excel, Internet, and
Desk-Top Publishing.
-
Ability to
adhere to strict confidentiality policies.
-
Proven ability
to manage time, establish priorities, and produce good work
products with little supervision.
-
Ability to
work in a team setting.
-
Ability to
travel, as needed, some evening and weekend hours. In state
travel and occasional out of state travel may be required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
