Application Packet for Approval of Social Work Continuing Education (CE) Credits

 Effective April 1, 2009

 The Mississippi Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Marriage & Family Therapists (MBOE) has authorized the NASW, Mississippi Chapter, to approve educational offerings for continuing education (CE) credits that may be used to meet the requirement for license renewal for Mississippi licensed social workers.  The NASW, MS Chapter, utilizes a CE Committee comprised of licensed social workers qualified by the members’ knowledge and experience with the NASW Standards for Continuing Professional Education and the NASW Code of Ethics to review submitted applications for approval of CE credits.  Organizations, agencies, and individuals seeking to offer CE credit for social workers shall follow the instructions below.  Individual social workers may also apply for offerings that have not been approved by NASW (National), the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), schools of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), and Designated Providers approved by the NASW, MS Chapter.
